Turn each press-on nail over to locate the small number underneath—lower numbers indicate a larger nail. Hold each press-on over your natural nail to ensure it fits from sidewall to sidewall without extending onto the cuticle.
If a press-on doesn’t match your cuticle line exactly, gently file the base to follow your nail’s natural contour. This ensures a more seamless, professional-looking finish.
Size Both Hands Individually
It’s common for nails on each hand to differ slightly in size. Be sure to size all ten fingers independently and arrange the selected nails in order before application to streamline the process.
When in Between Sizes, Choose Smaller. A slightly smaller nail will provide a snugger fit and reduce the likelihood of lifting, whereas an oversized press-on may overlap the skin and compromise adhesion.
Prepare the Natural Nail
Trim and file nails to a manageable length. Use the rounded end of a cuticle pusher to lift and push back the nail fold, then gently remove the invisible cuticle layer from the nail plate. Lightly buff the nail surface to remove shine, then cleanse thoroughly with an alcohol prep pad. Avoid touching your nails afterward to maintain cleanliness.
Apply Using Nail Glue or Adhesive Tabs
Apply Using Nail Glue (for Long Wear). Apply a thin layer of glue to your natural nail and a small dot on the underside of the press-on. Align carefully with your cuticle and press down firmly for 15–30 seconds, applying even pressure to eliminate air bubbles.
Apply Using Adhesive Tabs (for Quick Wear). Warm the tab sheet slightly between your hands or with a hair dryer on low for better flexibility. Choose a tab that matches your nail size, apply it to the natural nail, press to remove air pockets, and seal the edges using a cuticle stick. Remove the protective film, apply the press-on, and hold firmly for a few seconds. Repeat one nail at a time.
Final Touches and Aftercare
File the tips to your desired shape or refine the edges for a smooth look. Refrain from getting your hands wet for at least one hour to allow the adhesive to set fully.
