Nail Prep

If you aren’t using cuticle oil on your cuticles and the skin around them, you should give it a try. Cuticle oil hydrates and nourishes your nails for healthy nail growth and skin. Cuticle oil contains ingredients that are beneficial to your cuticles.

Before beginning your manicure, gently push your cuticles back with the cuticle pusher. Doing this reveals more of your nail plate for a more even dip powder application.

Safety

As with any nail procedure, practice safety first. Wear a face mask and glasses while applying your dip powder manicure. Work in a well-ventilated area and use a fan whenever possible to encourage airflow. When your manicure is complete, clean your workspace to prevent powder from migrating to other areas of the room. Make sure everything is cleaned and your nail products placed away in a cool, dry place.

What You Need

A marble manicure requires a few special nail products. A plastic spoon helps you create the marbled effect. Here is what you need:

Step 1

Step one builds a layer of strength on your nails and prepares the nails for the dip color. Follow these steps to begin the marble nail application. As always, apply products to your nails one finger at a time.

Coat & Build

Apply Nailboo base coat liquid to the nail.
Dip the nail into Nailboo build powder.
Tap and brush the nail to remove excess powder.
Repeat steps one through three on each nail.

Next, apply the base color.

Apply Nailboo base coat liquid to the entire nail.
Dip the nail into Nailboo dip color Here’s a Tip.
Tap and brush the nail to remove excess powder.
Repeat steps one through three on each nail.

Creating the marbled effect allows your imagination to run wild. Have fun, and be creative here.

Scoop Nailboo build powder into the plastic spoon.
Sprinkle a small amount of Nailboo Dark Dreams into the build powder.
Mix the two powders together in the spoon, creating a marbled effect.
Apply another layer of base liquid to the nail.
Quickly press the nail into the marbled powder in the spoon.
Add more Dark Dreams to the spoon and mix it in the spoon again to create marbling.
Repeat steps four through six on each nail.
Tap and brush each nail to remove excess powder.

Apply Nailboo base coat liquid to your nail.
Dip the nail into build powder.
Tap and brush the nail to remove excess powder.
Repeat steps one through three on all nails.

Step 2

The activator application in step two hardens the powder and seals in the marbling.

Activator

Apply Nailboo activator liquid to all of the nails.
Allow the nails to dry thoroughly.
File and buff the nails with the four-way nail file.
Apply a second coat of activator to all of the nails.
Allow the nails to dry thoroughly.

Step 3

Nailboo top coat adds that glossy finish you love. Don’t skip this step. The top coat seals everything in and adds protection to your nails.

Top Coat

Apply Nailboo top coat to all of the nails.
Allow the nails to dry completely.
Apply a second layer of top coat.
Allow the nails to dry completely one last time.
