How to use:

What you will need: Warmer base and ceramic bowl (included), manicure scraper tool, acetone, paper towels, nail file, cuticle oil or hand cream (not included).

Prepare your workspace:

  1. Place the warmer on a level, heat-resistant, and clutter-free surface. To prevent damage to furniture, place a towel or paper towel underneath the warmer.
  2. Place a folded paper towel into the bottom of the bowl to cover the bottom.
  3. Pour just enough acetone into the ceramic bowl to cover the nail surface. More may be required if you are removing a pedicure.
  4. (Optional) Place the lid securely on the bowl.

Start the MagicSoak Acetone Warming Bowl

  1. Insert the plug into the wall outlet.
  2. Turn the switch once until you hear it click. The indicator light should illuminate to signify the heating element turning on.
  3. Wait for the acetone to warm up to a comfortable warm temperature. Warming times will vary based on how much acetone is in the bowl and the ambient temperature.
  4. While the warmer is heating, prep nails as needed for removal.

Prepare the Nails:

Proper nail prep before soaking is important to reduce soak times.

  1. Clip nail extensions using a nail clipper to remove excess length.
  2. File off top layers of the product using a gritty nail file. File back and forth across the nail until you remove most of the bulk. It's recommended to use a fresh, sharp nail file to make the process more efficient.
  3. Apply Blissful Blooms Cuticle Oil or hand cream on the skin around the nails. This prevents residue from sticking to your skin and keeps cuticles from drying out.

Soak Off:

  1. Once the acetone has reached a warm temperature to the touch, submerge your fingers in the acetone inside the ceramic bowl.
  2. Check on the progress from time to time, but it should not take more than a few minutes for the product to begin dissolving.
  3. For stubborn acrylic, gel, or dip, withdraw your nails from the acetone and use the scraper tool gently scrape off the product towards the tip of the nail.
  4. To speed up removal, gently rub your nails against the paper towel placed at the bottom of the ceramic bowl and wipe off dissolved product as needed. (Optional)
  5. Re-soak your nails as needed until all the product is fully dissolved off the nail.

Cleaning & Storage:

  1. Turn off and unplug the device. Let the device fully cool before handling, cleaning, or storage.
  2. Use a clean paper towel to soak up the remainder of the acetone and place it in a separate plastic bag for disposal. Never pour acetone down the drain as it may damage plumbing.
  3. Using a clean paper towel, wipe any remaining residue off the inside of the ceramic bowl. If needed, rinse with water and allow to fully dry.
  4. Using a clean paper towel the sides of the heating element can be wiped down. Never submerge the heating element in water.
  5. Store the warmer and bowl in a cool and dry place away from children and pets.

Aftercare:

  • Wash your hands with soap and warm water. Acetone can be very drying so it is important to apply your favorite cuticle oil hand cream to replenish moisture.

Pro Tips:

  • During the removal process, it is important to be gentle and patient. Never force, pick, or peel the product off the natural nail. Picking can cause damage to your natural nails.
  • Unlike nail polish, dip powder and gel polish is a long-lasting manicure and can only be removed with a good quality cosmetic acetone. For best results, use the Nailboo Pro Soak Acetone Remover or any other 100% pure cosmetic grade acetone.
  • When setting up your workspace, place a protective barrier on your desk to protect your desk from acetone. If possible, select a set-up with a surface that is resistant to heat and chemicals, including acetone. Laminate or glass surfaces, for example, are often more resistant to damage than wood.
